My thoughts are with all the emergency workers and those with essential jobs that must work during these uncertain times. Thank you so much for what you do and for serving the rest of us!
We’ve never had this particular kind of emergency.
My thoughts are with these essential employees because even though they swore an oath to help others and are willing do so, it now has the potential to effect their own families.
While they are out taking care of others they don’t have control over being able to protect their own families. They don’t get to chose to work from home. They risk exposing their own families as they go out in the world to help others.
So as inconvenient as it is, we should consider those who don’t have a choice.
This might mean not going to the movies, amusement parks, or malls. Or not going to hang out with our friends. This helps emergency workers stay safe and healthy and able to continue their essential jobs.
Since most others have a choice lets really think about using our agency wisely that is equitable for all. We are all in this together.
